2 Brothers, and the Mob in the Middle “We Own the Night” is a bloody, passionate melodrama, self-consciously Shakespearean — or Biblical, or Greek, take your pick of atavisms — in its intentions. Source: NYT

2 Days in Paris / *** (R) "2 Days in Paris" (R, 96 minutes). Julie Delpy and Adam Goldberg play a New York couple, she French, who wrap up a miserable European holiday by spending two days in Paris, living above her parents. Not your usual lovers-in-Paris movie, but about two original, quirky characters so obsessed with their differences that Paris is almost a distraction. Written, directed, co-produced, edited, and scored by Delpy; when a women takes that many jobs, we slap her down for vanity. When a man does, we call him the new Orson Welles. Rating: Three stars. Source: RogerEbert Headlines

27 Dresses ( Release: Jan. 18, 2008   Rated: PG-13 - for language, some innuendo and sexuality   Avg. Score: 2.5/5     Details | Trailers | Photos | Reviews  ) The Gist — Unsurprisingly predictable. Source: Movies.com
27 Dresses Screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna apparently followed a Romantic Comedies for Dummies book in putting together the script. Nearly every scene from the misunderstanding about what was left where by who to the public proclamation of love in front of strangers is ladled out in slick but heaping portions. The fact that Janes best friend is a bit of drunken whore who spouts cutting one liners or that a really hot, tall, sweet girl like Jane wouldnt have a hundred guys sniffing at her door are par for the course in this often trodden over plot. Source: Cinema Blend
27 Dresses The filmmakers perfectly follow the well-worn romantic comedy formula, rendering 27 Dresses clichd and mostly forgettable. Source: Rotten Tomatoes
27 Dresses Although it incorporates every boy-meets-girl, romantic-wedding-comedy cliché there is, 27 Dresses still sort of grows on you, thanks to Katherine Heigl's engaging performance. Source: Hollywood.com
27 Dresses Starring: Katherine Heigl, James Marsden, Malin Akerman, Judy Greer, Edward... Review: It's not easy to be a beauty and a funny girl -- a va-va-voom body tends to distract from the jokes. But Katherine Heigl has the knack -- look at Knocked Up. Just don't look here. Heigl fights an uphill battle in 27 Dresses, a chick-flick compendium of wedding cliches that will have every guy bolting for the exits. Screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna also wrote The Devil Wears Prada, but she's dipped her sharp wit in sentimental syrup. It helps to have Judy Greer around as Heigl's acid-tongued BFF. But McKenna and director Anne Fletcher (Step Up) make a fatal error. They want us to believe that the gorgeous Heigl is a plain Jane who saves her bridesmaid dresses -- all twenty-seven of them -- while stoking her unrequited love for her macho boss (Ed Burns). Not buying it. Even James Marsden,... Rating: 2 Stars Source: RollingStone.com

28 Weeks Later Set half a year after the events of 28 Days Later, this is the story of what happens when the terrible virus of that earlier film is gone and reconstruction of a ravaged country begins. But is the bug really dead? Robert Carlyle stars. Source: Apollo Movie Guide
28 Weeks Later A film that feels like it only exists to set up another movie. Its as if Fox executives counted the first movies box office receipts and then locked a committee of writers in a room and asked them to come up with a way to stretch this idea out into three movies. I28 Weeks LaterI is means to an end and, unlike the original movie, it has absolutely nothing to say except stay tuned and give us your money. Source: Cinema Blend
28 Weeks Later ( Release: May. 11, 2007   Rated: Rating Pending   Avg. Score: 5/5     Details | Trailers | Photos | Reviews  ) The Gist — As thrilling, scary and gory as the original. And possibly even better. Source: Movies.com
