Money is the Root of All Evil
This idiom is actually a misquote from the Bible. The Apostle Paul, writing
to Timothy in I Tim 6:10, says, "For the love of money is the root
of all evil..." This is commonly misstated by saying that "money
is the root of all evil", rather than greed (love of money).
