How to play NPC complaint desk

The heroes of the realm are menaces and the NPCs have finally found the complaints form. You work the desk. Each shift deals you 12 tickets from villagers, blacksmiths, quest givers and tavern keepers: a hero smashed all my pots, heroes skip my forty-year lore speech, someone looted my wedding bouquet mid-ceremony. Every ticket has four possible responses. Good fixes raise overall NPC satisfaction, dismissive answers tank it. If satisfaction hits zero, the NPCs revolt and your shift ends early. Your score is tickets handled plus your final satisfaction rating.

About NPC complaint desk

NPC complaint desk flips the fantasy game around: what if the villagers could file tickets about the hero? It turns out they have a lot to say. The blacksmith has said one sentence for twelve years. The guard with the knee injury would like the jokes to stop. A mimic wants a career change to bookshelf. Every ticket is a tiny story about what it is like to live inside a game world, and every response you send has consequences written out in full. The satisfaction meter keeps the pressure on, but the real reward is finding out what happens when you finally give Kevin the mysterious stranger a name tag.
