How to play Cubicle wreck

You get one small open plan office, seen from the side, with nobody in it: a desk, a monitor, a keyboard, a swivel chair, a water cooler, a printer, a pot plant, a mug, a filing cabinet, a whiteboard and a motivational poster. Drag anything to pick it up and let go mid swing to throw it across the room. Or pick a tool from the tray at the bottom and tap or click to swing it. You get bare hands, a stapler, a keyboard, a chair, a fire extinguisher and a golf club. On a keyboard, 1 to 6 pick a tool and Space swings at something random. Everything breaks in its own way and in stages. The monitor cracks and then goes black, the keyboard sheds its keys, the chair loses a wheel, the cooler glugs water across the carpet, the printer jams and then spits paper everywhere, the poster tears and the plant drops its leaves one by one. The damage counter at the top adds it all up in dollars. Open the receipt whenever you like to see every item on the bill and your rank, then tidy up to rewind the office and start again.

About Cubicle wreck

Cubicle wreck is a toy rather than a contest: there is no timer, no score to lose and nobody in the room, just a cartoon office that falls apart in satisfying detail. Every object is drawn in code in a chunky style made for this game, with thick ink outlines on a striped wall, and none of them carry a real brand. The physics run in your browser, so every throw lands differently and the mess builds up for as long as you keep going. The receipt prices each item by how badly it broke and adds wall repairs, carpet cleaning and a cleanup crew. A different office of the day turns up at midnight UTC with a few items swapped, so the receipt changes from day to day. Sounds are synthesised on the spot and start switched off.
