How to play Compliment or insult

Someone says a line. Your job is to figure out what it really was: a genuine compliment, a plain insult, a backhanded compliment or a full HR incident. Ten lines per run, tap your answer or press 1 to 4 on desktop. After every pick you get a short breakdown of the hidden mechanics in the sentence, like why the word almost is doing so much damage. About Compliment or insult

Everyone has walked away from a conversation and realised three hours later that they were insulted. Compliment or insult is training for exactly that moment. The lines range from genuinely sweet to legally actionable, and the fun is in the middle zone where a sentence wears a compliment costume over an insult skeleton.
