Brain check

Five quick challenges, the same five for everyone today. Sequences, dots, patterns, jumbled words and digits to hold onto. Each scores out of 100 and the average is your brain score.

  1. Sequence memory
  2. Dot estimate
  3. Pattern spotting
  4. Unscramble
  5. Hold and carry

Just for fun, not a real test of anything.

How to play Brain check

Hit start and work through five short challenges in a fixed order. First, watch a row of tiles light up and tap them back in the same order, with one extra tile every round. Next, a cluster of dots flashes for a moment and you slide to your best guess of how many there were. Then four short sequences, each with one rule, and you pick what comes next out of four options. After that, five jumbled words share one forty five second clock. Last, hold a few digits in your head, answer three quick side questions, then type the digits back. Each challenge scores out of 100 and the average is your brain score.

About Brain check

Short daily brain teasers are an easy habit. One puzzle, a couple of minutes, then on with your day. Brain check bundles five tiny challenges into a single run: a memory sequence, a dot estimate, a pattern to spot, some jumbled words and a set of digits to hold onto while something else pulls at your attention. Everyone gets the same five on the same day, so scores are worth comparing and the share card gives nothing away. The score and the verdict line are there for fun and nothing else. This is a game, not an assessment, and it says nothing about how clever you are.
