How to play Caption battle

Every day you get five weird little scenes, described in text with a row of emoji to set the mood. Each scene comes with four possible captions. There is no correct answer, just pick the one that makes you laugh. After you pick, the crowd poll appears and shows which caption most players chose. Match the crowd favourite and you score a green square. When the daily five are done, endless mode keeps serving scenes for as long as you want.

Tips

• Read all four captions before you tap, the last one is often the sleeper hit
• Shorter captions tend to win polls, but not always
• Matching the crowd is the goal, but going rogue is a personality
• Come back every day, the five scenes reset at midnight

About Caption battle

Caption contests have been around as long as cartoons have run in newspapers. Someone draws a strange picture, everyone else fights over the funniest line to put under it. Caption battle takes that old ritual and turns it into a quick daily game. You get five odd scenes a day, from ducks holding meetings to wizards losing arguments with microwaves. Four captions compete for each scene and the crowd poll decides which one wins the day. Your job is to guess where the laughs will land, or to proudly pick the weird one nobody else liked. It takes two minutes and it is a nice little argument starter with friends.
