How to play Locked till lunch

You start locked in one small room, and everything you need to get out is already in there. Tap any object to look at it. Some of them hand you something, some hide a lock, and a few are just there to make you laugh. Anything you pick up goes into your pockets along the bottom. Tap an item to hold it, then tap the thing you want to use it on. Hold one item and tap another to try putting the two together. Codes are never guesswork: the numbers or letters are written somewhere in the room, so read the notes, the labels and the lists. Crack all the locks, then tap the door and step out.

Tips

• Look at every single object once before you touch a lock
• Notes and labels usually explain a code you have not met yet
• If two items look useless alone, try holding one and tapping the other
• The clock counts up, so slow down and read things properly

About Locked till lunch

Escape rooms started as browser point and click games in the early 2000s, then jumped into real buildings around 2007 and turned into a global night out. The appeal never changed: a locked space, a handful of odd objects, and the small thrill of realising the number on the seed packet is the number on the padlock. This one is the pocket sized version. Twelve rooms rotate, one per day, and each is set somewhere ordinary that has gone slightly wrong: a break room, a dentist waiting room, a shed that is far too tidy. Every puzzle is written for this game and solvable with what is in the room.
