How to play Explain it badly

Every round shows a terrible description of a completely normal thing. "Angry water dog with too many teeth" is a shark. "Bread jail that occasionally launches the prisoner in celebration" is a toaster. Pick the right answer out of four options, tap or press 1 to 4 on desktop. Ten rounds per run, and consecutive correct answers build a streak. After each answer you get a short bonus fact that makes the bad description even funnier. Best score is saved, rematches are instant.

Tips

About Explain it badly

Describing things badly on purpose is one of the internet's oldest party tricks, and for good reason: a shark really is an angry water dog, once you see it you cannot unsee it. Explain it badly turns the trick into a quiz. Each description is technically accurate and spiritually unhinged, and the four answer options are close enough that you have to actually think. It works great on the couch, better out loud with someone guessing next to you, and the after-answer facts (sharks are older than trees, glitter never leaves) give you material for your next conversation. Ten rounds, a streak counter and a best score to defend.
