How to play Invent the product

Pick two everyday objects, or let the dice pick them for you, then hit Invent it. The lab fuses them into one product with a mashed-up name, a straight-faced sales pitch and a suspicious side effect. Every invention gets scored out of 100 on three axes: usefulness, chaos and marketability, for a total out of 300. The scores are baked into each combination, so the Toastbrella 3000 is exactly as terrible for everyone. Tap a card to choose a specific object, tap the dice to reroll one slot, or hit Surprise me to roll both. Your best total and invention count are saved between visits.

Tips

Order matters, the first object leads the product name, so try both directions
Jetpacks, drones and ice cream carts tend to score big on marketability
Chaos counts toward your total too, so a terrible idea can still win
Share your best invention and dare a friend to out-invent it

About Invent the product

Invent the product is a silly invention generator dressed up as a startup pitch meeting. Take a trampoline and an espresso machine, smash them together and see what the lab calls it, how it gets pitched and what the market thinks. Every combination produces the same product every time, which makes discoveries feel real: when you find a combo that scores 260, that score is yours to brag about and theirs to verify. With around fifty objects there are thousands of ordered pairs to explore, from the quietly practical to the openly dangerous. There is no timer and no wrong way to play. Some people chase the highest total, some just want to read what happens when you fuse bagpipes with a fog machine. Both are valid research.
