How to play Ball avalanche

Tap the box to drop a small burst of balls, or hold to pour a steady stream from your finger. Drag while you hold and the stream flies across the arena, bouncing off the walls. The size slider goes from a small marble to a beach ball and the flow slider goes from a trickle to a torrent, so you decide how fast the mess builds. Tilt swings gravity left or right and the whole pile slides to that side. Shake jolts every ball at once, giant ball drops one heavy ball on the heap, and clear empties the box. There is no score and no ending, so play as long as it stays fun.

About Ball avalanche

Physics sandboxes have been a corner of the web since browsers first got fast enough to run a rigid body simulation. There is no puzzle and no win state, just a set of rules and something to poke at. Watching a few hundred balls collide, roll and settle into a heap scratches the same itch as knocking over a stack of blocks, and it never plays out quite the same way twice. This one runs a real collision solver in your browser, keeps a few hundred balls alive at once and quietly recycles the oldest so the frame rate holds up on a phone.
