How to play Sand sandbox

Pick a material: sand, water, stone, or salt. Tap or drag on the canvas to drop it. Sand piles into hills. Water flows downward and pools. Stone sits where you put it. Salt slowly dissolves water. Pause and play to control the simulation. Tap erase to remove material. There are no goals, just play with the physics.

About Sand sandbox

Falling sand games started on Japanese forums in 2005 with the original Sand Game by Hi Taro. The simple particle physics, each pixel checks its neighbour and falls or settles, exploded into thousands of remixes and inspired bigger games like Powder Toy and Noita. Our small version stays close to the original feel. A handful of materials, smooth physics, a quiet pace. Open it in a tab when you need to space out for a few minutes.
