How to play Law or lie

Law or lie shows you five strange sounding laws a day, one at a time. For each one you decide: is this an actual law somewhere in the world, or did we make it up? Tap real law or total lie, or on a keyboard press the left arrow for real and the right arrow for a lie. After each guess we reveal the truth with a short explanation. When all five are done you get a score out of five and a spoiler-free grid to share. A new set of laws appears every day.

Tips

• The truth is often stranger than fiction, do not dismiss a law just because it sounds silly
• Very specific laws (a town, a year, an exact fine) are frequently real
• A law that sounds like a clean joke with a neat punchline is often the made up one
• Trust your gut on the first read, overthinking usually flips a right answer to wrong
