How to play Tab hoarder

Tabs stream into your overloaded browser one at a time, each with a title you will recognise from your own shameful tab bar. Sort every tab into one of four buckets before its timer runs out: keep it open, close it, bookmark it for later, or hit the help button when something looks properly cursed. Perfect sorts score full points and free a little RAM. Second-best sorts still earn half points, because honestly, some tabs could go either way. Wrong sorts and timeouts push the RAM meter up, and when it hits 100 percent the browser crashes and the run ends. The stream keeps speeding up, so a tidy start turns into frantic triage.

Tab hoarder turns the guiltiest habit of the internet age into a reflex game. Everyone has a browser with forty tabs: a recipe from March, three abandoned shopping carts, an article you swear you will read, and one tab somewhere playing sound. This game hands you that browser and a mop. Each incoming tab has a best home among keep, close, bookmark and call for help, and you sort them against a shrinking timer while a RAM meter judges your mistakes. The scoring is forgiving on purpose, because half the fun is arguing with yourself about whether a dream apartment listing is a keep or a bookmark. When the RAM meter fills, the browser does what browsers do best: it crashes. Free to play in the browser, which feels appropriate.
