How to play Silly survival island

The ferry left without you and your inflatable flamingo deflated, so now you are stranded on a small island with exactly what you had on you: one rubber duck, twelve receipts and a selfie stick. Every scene offers choices, and the fun ones spend your inventory. Receipts can burn in signal fires, insulate your shelter or carry messages in bottles. The selfie stick makes a surprisingly decent heliograph. The duck is morale-critical and the local crabs may want it as tribute. Keep your morale above zero, watch your supplies, and work toward one of eight endings, from a container ship spotting your smoke to being crowned monarch of the crabs.

Tips

• Twelve receipts sounds like plenty, it is not, spend them where they count
• Be respectful to the crabs, they are better organised than most companies
• Sacrificing the duck opens doors, keeping it opens other doors
• Staying on the island is a real ending, not a failure

Silly survival island is a castaway story where the survival gear is deliberately terrible. No knife, no flint, no coconut radio: just a rubber duck, a stack of receipts and a selfie stick, which turns every classic survival trope into an improvisation puzzle. Receipts become insulation, kindling and stationery. The selfie stick becomes a signal mirror. The duck becomes, depending on your choices, a chief engineer, a religious monument or a very judgemental companion. Around forty scenes branch across the island, taking in a freshwater pool with a resident duck, a parliament of alarmingly organised crabs and a driftwood sign that works better misspelled. Eight endings cover rescue by ship, drone, plane, raft and crab flotilla, plus two endings where you simply decide the island is home. Morale is the meter that matters: run it dry and the island wins. Runs take about five minutes and reward trying the paths you skipped.
