Ten half-typed searches, four suggestions that have lost the plot. Find the calmest one before the dropdown drags you under.

What it is

Cursed Autocomplete is a game about a keyboard that has seen too much. Every round starts a perfectly ordinary sentence, something like I went to the store to buy, and offers four ways to finish it. One ending is the kind of thing a normal person might actually send. The other three range from slightly off to fully unhinged. Your job is to find the calm one before the second-calmest option talks you into it.

How to play

Press start and read the sentence opener. Four endings appear. Pick the one you think is least chaotic. As soon as you choose, every ending reveals a hidden chaos rating from 1 to 10, so you see exactly how close you came to disaster. Ten sentences make a run, with a score, a streak counter and a final rank at the end. A flawless run earns the rank of voice of reason. Then you play again, because ten rounds is nothing.

What makes it different

The obvious version of this game asks you to pick the funniest ending, and that has no right answer. This one flips it: you are hunting for sanity in a lineup of nonsense, and the chaos ratings turn every pick into a small lesson about how quickly a sentence can go wrong. The traps are the endings that start normal and derail in the last three words. The subject matter stays deliberately mundane, groceries and weather and dentist visits, which is what makes the derailments land.

Why it is on Bored

Everyone has watched their phone suggest something deranged halfway through a text. We built a game around that exact feeling because it is universal, it takes two minutes, and it is dangerously easy to run again.

Tips

  • The right answer is the calmest of the four, which is not always the boring one
  • Watch for endings that start sensibly and fall apart at the end
  • Study the chaos ratings after each pick, the keyboard has a consistent taste
  • A perfect ten earns the top rank, so a streak is worth protecting
