What it is

Google Feud is a family-quiz show where the survey is the search engine's autocomplete. The page shows the start of a search, something like why does my, and your job is to guess how the world's most typed-in box would finish it. Ten real suggestions are hidden on the board, and the round is over once your guesses run out. It has been called an obsession by a major magazine, and the page happily quotes it.

How to play

Pick a category: culture, entertainment, names, questions, animals, people or food, or let the lucky button choose. Read the half-finished search, type a guess, press enter. Hits flip open on the board with their points, misses cost you one of your strikes. Easy mode softens things, and there is a daily question of the day plus a separate daily mode in the menu.

What makes it different

The answers are not written by a quiz writer, they are what millions of strangers actually type, which makes every board a small survey of human worry, greed and curiosity. Guessing well means thinking like the internet, not knowing facts, and the gap between the two is where the laughs come from. The site is careful to call itself a parody and is not connected to the search engine it borrows from.
