Tips
- Solve the easy clues first to lock in shared letters
- Two and three letter answers are usually filler words like ERA or AGE
- If a clue stumps you, jump to the crossing answer
- Pencil in your best guess so you do not lose it while you think
About Mini crossword
The crossword turns 113 years old next December. Arthur Wynne made the first one for the New York World newspaper in 1913 and called it a word cross. The mini format, a quick five by five grid, took off again with the New York Times mini in 2014. People love it because it fits in a coffee break.
