Puzzle #14 · Easy (5×5) · 0/5 owls

How to play Owls

You see a grid divided into colored regions. Your job is to place exactly one owl in every row, every column and every colored region. On top of that, no two owls may touch each other, not even diagonally. Tap a cell once to mark it with an X (meaning "no owl here"), tap again to place an owl, and tap a third time to clear it. A new puzzle appears every day. Pick from four difficulty levels: easy (5 by 5), normal (7 by 7), hard (9 by 9) and advanced (11 by 11).

About Owls

Owls is a placement logic puzzle in the same family as the Queens game that went viral on LinkedIn in 2024. The core mechanic is centuries old: place N pieces on an N by N grid so that no two share a row or column, then add a colored region constraint and a no-touching rule to make it snappy. Our version runs entirely in the browser, picks a new puzzle each day and offers four grid sizes so you can scale the challenge. No account needed, no ads, just you and the grid.
