How to play Tic-tac-toe

Take turns placing your mark on a three by three grid. Get three in a row across, down or diagonally and you win. Play against the computer, which never makes a mistake, or pass the device for a two player match. For a bigger brain teaser try Ultimate mode: nine small boards make one giant board, each move sends your opponent to a specific small board, and you need to win three small boards in a row to take the game.

Tips

• The centre square is the strongest opening in classic mode
• Block your opponent the moment they get two in a row
• Against the computer, aim for a draw, a perfect player cannot be beaten
• In Ultimate mode, think about which board your move sends them to

About Tic-tac-toe
