Windmill putt

Nine holes, one ball, and a course that clearly holds a grudge. Par for the round is 32.

Two players share one device and take turns. You both play every hole, lowest total after nine wins.

How to play Windmill putt

Nine holes of crazy golf on one screen, on your own or with someone next to you. Drag back from the ball like a catapult and let go: the further you pull, the harder the shot, and the little bar under the ball shows how much power you are about to use. The cushions around the edge bounce properly, so bank shots are a real tactic rather than a mistake. Sand kills your speed almost instantly, water costs you a stroke and puts you back where you were, and the spinning arms will happily fling your ball into a corner if you mistime it. Sink the ball to move on. Par for the whole round is thirty two. In two player mode you share one device: player one plays a hole out, hands over, player two plays the same hole, and the lowest total after nine wins.

About Windmill putt

Crazy golf has been a seaside fixture for about a century, and the appeal has never really changed: a flat green, a few daft obstacles and the certainty that someone in your group will take eight shots on a hole you cleared in two. Windmill putt keeps the format and the spinning arms but builds its own nine holes, from a gentle straight opener to a spiral with a mill guarding the door. The physics are honest, which matters more than it sounds. Because the bounces are predictable, a good shot feels earned and a bad one feels like your fault. Rounds take a few minutes and the whole card is scored against par, so there is always a number to beat.
