The rhythmic platformer that will have you tapping your desk and pulling your hair out simultaneously.
What it is
Geometry Dash Online is a free browser remake of the rhythm platformer, hosted on CrazyGames and built in Scratch. The page itself calls it Geometry Game. A square slides along a level that scrolls by itself, and you jump over spikes and gaps in time with the music. Hit a spike or a wall and you restart from the beginning. It is not the official game, and the page says so, but it is the version that runs in a tab.
How to play
Click, tap or press Space to jump. Hold it down to keep jumping. Some sections turn you into a vehicle, where Up and Down steer instead. Every attempt starts from the top, so the game is about learning the level. Practice Mode lets you place checkpoints so you can rehearse a hard stretch without going back to the start. Keep the sound on: the jumps line up with the beat, and the music is the timing cue.
What makes it different
It is the die-and-retry loop in its purest form: the same level again until your fingers know it. Portals along the way flip gravity, change speed or switch vehicles, and jump pads and orbs launch you, so the rhythm changes mid-level. The remake keeps that structure, portals, pads, orbs and practice checkpoints, in a page that loads without a download.
Why it is on Bored
We say clearly that it is a fan remake, because that matters, and we list it because the name is one people look for and this is the browser version that runs without a download. Expect the portal's consent dialog and ads around the frame, and a Log in button you can ignore.
Tips
- Use Practice Mode first, checkpoints turn a wall into a set of steps
- Count the beat out loud, the jumps are on it
- Hold the jump button through a row of platforms rather than tapping each
- One attempt after a rage restart never goes well, take ten seconds
FAQ
Is Geometry Dash Online free?
Yes. It is free in the browser with no account required. The portal is ad supported, with a consent dialog on the first visit.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The portal lists desktop, mobile and tablet, and a tap is a jump.
Does it have sound?
Yes, and it matters. The jumps are timed to the music, so play with sound on.
Does it end?
Each level ends when you reach the end of the track. Finishing one means finishing every jump in it in a row.
